Andrew McAfee is a scientific illustrator from central Virginia. He likes swamps, snakes, Excel formulas, and understatements. Andrew has a B.S. in Biology from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he discovered an affinity for ornithology, ichthyology, and digital art. Andrew earned his graduate certificate in science illustration at CSUMB, where he discovered a keen new interest in scientific animation as well as illustration.
Andrew is the scientific illustrator of the Vertebrate Paleontology Department at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History where he does a variety of work. For simplicity, he usually just says he draws dinosaurs.
